Default 35" tire issues

Has anyone experienced any mechanical side effects to switching to 35" tires? You know, premature balljoint failure, axle tubes bending, unit bearing failure, stuff like that? Any drive shaft issues?
I'm planning to add re AEV 2.5" lift to my 2 door automatic Rubicon with 4.10 gears, then add 35" tires on AEV wheels, but I like to know what I should expect when I make the switch. Got to budget for other "fixes" if nessesary. I don't want to spend all my $ on the mods and then not have enough $ for other things hat will need attention.
Thanks
Nathan

Ball joints will go quicker than normal. A bit more wear and tear on your brake components as well. Atleast that's what I found after running 35s for the first little bit

Haven't owned my '12 long enough to have any issues, I'm running a 3.5 inch lift with LT315/70R17 (35") tires on 17x8 -4MM offset. The AEV wheels, I believe, will make the difference on hub bearing and ball joint failure, due to the proper offset and hub bore for the JK. When you run a high negative offset wheel it puts more stress on these components (-12MM offset for instance)

I agree. I would definitely get a set of gussets welded on as well

been running 35's for over 4 years now with no major problems, I wheel carefully though. I had to replace my front driveshaft with a 1310 because the boot was gone, not from the tires. I just gusset'ed the C's. Adding 5.13s has been the best mod for sure since going with bigger meats, good luck.

You may also need to cut your fenders with only 2.5" of lift. Make sure to get extended bumpstops

I just heard from AEV concerning adding their 2.5" lift to run 35" tires on my 2008 2 door JK. Here's what they said:

"Thank you for contacting AEV. The 2007-2011 JK’s with the 3.8L automatic does require a driveshaft modification to the front because the stock diameter is to large. With the 2012 vehicles the stock driveline works just fine and does not need to be replaced. Please contact me if you have any further questions regarding the AEV product line."

Looks like I'll be needing a front drive shaft too!
