what all is needed to run 35"s withiout a lift?

That post from faq, even if you go flat fenders, you'll need some amount of a BB or a body lift and trimming to do it. Without those things ,youll rub going down the street.

thanks. I thought if you have 5" of backspacing and flat fenderflair you could run 35s without a lift

yes. Im just trying to figure out all my options so i can do it as cost effective as possible. Rims tires list regar is alot of $$ to spend all at once

I currently have 265x75x16s on my jeep, Whould those look ok the a 3" lift so i can do my upgrades a little at a time? What would be the best size rim to get for those that would also fit a 35" tire?

You could run your stock rims on 35's, just add spidertrax spacers or wait till you get your tires and get some crager soft 8's for not much more. Kinda depends on what manufacturer lift you get as to how it will look. Some give a good bit more lift than advertised. You could run a 2.5 Budget Boost and it wouldn't look bad.
