I'm getting ready to put 35" tires on my Rubicon, but can't decide what to go with. I'm just putting them on my stock wheels, until i upgrade to a lift bigger than my 2.5"BB.
i'm trying to decide between going with the same BFG Mudterrains, ProComp XTerrains or ProComp Xtreme Mud Terrains.
My rubi will see little rocks, mostly mud and dirt. I want decent on-road experience too as well as something good in snow/slush. I'm not dissatisfied witht he BFG Mud Terrains I have now.
What would be the difference between these three - especially the difference btw the two Pro Comp tires? Do one of these have an advantage over the others in any area?

Which would you recommend I choose here?

I have a friend with the ProComp Mudd Terrain and i have the Xterrain. His does do a little better in mudd but we are equal otherwise with sand, dirt, and rocks BUT my ride quality and noise is way better than his. He even said so and he has an XJ and i have a soft top jeep and the noise is still louder in his XJ

 

You cant go wrong with the tried an true BFG muds...
My brother has had 2 sets on his 04' Rubi and now he's on his 3rd,
So I bought a set after driving my stock Rubi for 900 miles and liking them,
Then my dad also bought a set for his 06' Rubi

if gonna have to say BFG Muds as well. I've had them on 3 vehicles. I've also had the Pro Comp muds as well and thought they ran ok, but seemed smaller in size.

Another thing is....BFG has been around in the offroad world for quite some time. Procomp is a little newer. I don't know about Toyo. One thing to consider is the availability of the tires. Procomp you have to order through certain vendors/stores. Toyo, I'm guessing, is the same thing. BFGs you can get at most tire shops.

Slightly Off Topic - Went to Costco to check tire prices - they refuse to mount anything other than OEM tire sizes - you can buy from them but they offer no warranty... Didn't know, figured 'd save somebody else the trouble of asking...

BTW, they said 35" (for 15 inch rims) BFG MT's were $166 each.

37's for a 17 inch rim with $229

Quiet on road and great off road. You will not even consider anything else, once you try em.
