"So my question is, who did you get to install your 35s on stock wheels since it is against manufactures recommendations? Is this something I can do myself (I would think I'd still need to take the set up in for balancing)?"

I live in a small town in AR. 10,000 people. We have 2 new car dealerships and my family does lots of business with one in particular so when I need something such as... well anything really...I call a friend who runs the place and he hooks me up with advice and all kinds of info plus service. He also builds jeeps and sells them...Kind of like Yenko used to do with their camaros. So, when I told him what I wanted, he ordered and had everything installed for me while I was in Europe. (nice coming home to a newly modded jeep!).

To America's Tire's benefit they were going to give us a good deal on the tires. I was just a little upset mostly because it took them about 45 minutes to finally admit that they wouldn't put those tires on my rims. If they would have told me that when I walked in I would have been happier with my overall experience.

Ask to sigh a release of liability waiver. See if that works.

I think the solution is going to be to order them from 4wd.com because they are having a sale right now and that is the cheepest I can find them online. Then I am going to take them to a locally owned tire shop over here to get them mounted and balanced. Thanks for all the help and recomendations!

4 wheel parts did mine. Even they started to give me crap about nistalling the spacers even though I bought the spacers from them. The manager eventually said that they would do it. They installed the spacers and mounted my 35MTs on the rubicon wheels.

Rob7765, are your tires wearing evenly or are the outter edges wearing more than the center? What psi you running (for street driving when not out on that beautiful beach).

Yes they are wearing fairly even. I screwed up and waited til 10,000 miles to rotate them and when I put the spare in the mix it was noticibly more tread than the others. I put it on the front since is is not normally a drive wheel. Either I have gotten used to it now or it has worn enought that I don't notice anymore.

I run fairly high compared to most people on the road. I live in Houston so there is lots of freeway driving. I run them at 40psi on the road. Sometimes for long freeway trips I go up to 45psi.

I will try and take a picture of the tread. I have the ProComp MT tires. They now have about 15000 miles on them.
