I'm looking into upgrading toa 35" KM2 and am thinking about going to a 15" rim for increased sidewall and also decreased tire prices. Does anyone know how these will handle on road?

you will get a bit more sidewall flex but otherwise, they'll handle just fine.

That's good to hear. This is my first jeep and I wasn't sure. Also, is it a problem running 15" rims on the JK. I know I will need to grind the calipers, but does the size of the rim cause any problems.

if you're planning on running basic steel wheels, you won't have to do anything as they should fit just fine. some aluminum wheels do too but, depending on the make, yeah, some grinding of your calipers may be necessary. aside from that, no, you shouldn't have any problems.

I have 15" aluminum wheels that fit just great, no grinding needed.

Something to think about. In order to run 15 inch wheels, u will need to have Backspacing around 3.75. If u run a 16 inch or 17 inch rim, u can get use a 4.5 or 4.75 Backspaced rim. the 3.75 backspaced in going to make ur jeep 2 inches wider total than the 4.75 BS rim. I know some people dont care about how wide the jeep is due to their style of wheeling but I wanted to keep my JK as narrow as possible. Just something to think about.

I run 15" x8"wide with 4" backspacing on 35" MT's and they don't rub at full turn or stick out much past the fenders.
I think your tire selection will affect how far they stick out more than the 1/2 diffence in rim center.

How much lift do you have because I'm still undecided on what lift to get also. I want to keep as low a cog as possible.
