Default 35's on 2.5" Teraflex coil kit

I know variations on this are asked all the time, and I've been looking through tons of threads, but I haven't found anyone discussing this exact combo in detail. If I get new wheels with the right backspacing am I still going to rub if the swaybar is disconnected and I stuff/turn? People seems to go from 2.5 to 4 or more inches of lift with 35's, there must be a reason... ?

I'm picking up my new JK Unlimited Rubi with the 2.5" coil kit tomorrow. Stock tires and wheel while I decide what to do next.

The coil lifts just do tend to give you more lift than advertised BB give you more of an exact lift like a 2.5 Inch Terra BB would give you 2.5 Inches of lift, but a Terra Coil lift of 2.5 would give you from like 3 inches to 4 from what I read.

Thumbs up

My lift netted about 3" in the front. Disconnecting the front I won't do until I add some spacers though.. It just "looks" too tight to disconnect and not seriously rub..

I rubbed at stuff with my 35s with my TF coils with the swaybar disco'ed, got wheels with 5.0 backspacing. I added bushwacker flatties a little while ago and that should solve the problem but I havent had a chance to test it out. I rub my sway bar on the street at full lock but I also run 13.5 inch wide tires. I got about 3 inches in the front and 2.5 in the rear and still had a rake after I installed the lift

I am running a TF 2.5" coil lift with 1" spacers up front and 35" KM2's and haven't had any rubbing issues. I also chopped the factory fenders to give a littl extra clearance just in case.

So, when it rubs it sounds like it's in the front on the fenders mostly? I figure I'll get some flat fenders at some point soon anyway, so maybe that'll cover it?

If someone made a good 34" tire, maybe that's the sweet spot for this amount of lift.

yep, mine rubbed the fenders pretty good. your going to want to cut the rear pinch seam as well to avoid cutting your rear tires flexing out. Love my bushwackers flatties, that will do the trick or you can just cut yours for free. Most 35's are not true 35's, my so called 35's measure out to 34s under load.

My 2.5 inch coil lift with shocks neted 2.5 inches. I understand that the new Teraflex 2.5 inch lift with shocks has 2.5 inch shocks where the older kits had 3 inch shocks. I believe the new kits started shipping 6-9 months ago.

So if you go with the TF 2.5 inch lift expect 2.5 inches.

Also, I have no rake which is interesting given the is a heavy bumper and wench on the front.

you will rub with factory fenders. with flat fenders, you will not rub. ran this same setup pretty hard for over a year. first with factory fenders and then with flats. the TF products are all great, though.

If you get a 2.5 and all else fails, there is always the option of a 1.25 body lift
