35's with 373...
Anyone running 35's with 373 axles? I'm curious about mild rock crawling and general off roading. I have a 2013 Rubicon. I ordered it with 410's but they goofed and I got the standard 373's. the Pentastar seems to have plenty of power, but I'm wondering if the rest of the drive train will work with this configuration... I'm about to get a 4.5" lift and 35's and I'm really not looking to regear if I can avoid it. Thanks!
i run 35's and 373 no problem with the pentastar. I get about 19 on the highways that have a speed limit of 65 and about 17 on highways that have a speed limit of 75. Around town I am getting just under 14mpg but I drive less than 900 miles a month so I don't really care.
And I agree with the above, 4.5 is way too much lift for just 35's. Get a 2.5-3 inch lift if you can still change your order.
edit: for offroad you will be fine b/c the rubi has a 4:1 transfer case... I do fine offroading with my 2.4:1 transfer case and 3.73 and you will be better off than me.

I'd really make the dealer regear yours or get you a new jeep cause that's a really big mistake and expensive for you if you regear. I read that the same thing happened to someone else and the dealer did the regear for them from 3.73 to 4.10. I have 37s with 3.73 on my 2012 rubi and its good I noticed a loss but its ok the gas mileage is what sucks 9city 14 hwy.
Just put on 35's with the 3.73 gears (2012 JKU auto) no issues at all with perfromance, still plenty of power. My milage is not as good as the above post^^ I am getting around 15hwy @ 72mph... but I think there was a headwind..
As stated 4.5 is too much lift for 35's. I am running a 2" budget boost and flat fenders, my boss has 35's and a true 4" lift and it looks OK but the 4.5 will be high IMO

That's a $2000 goof, I'd have them make it right or just order another! They did the same with my brother's Rubicon, he was a pansy and didn't complain, he enjoys wasting money though...just sayin.

I agree! the dealer should make good on your order, or, if I were you, thats about the cost of an extended warrenty. Also, I have a 4" lift with 35's and I think it is just right. But if you need the gears make the dealer make good.
Thanks for the replies! I think it might be a lil late to get the dealer to do anything for me. It's been a few months since I too delivery. They DID give me an extended warranty (5 year 100k miles) for $300 so... Anyway, I've seen a 4.5 lift running 35" KM2's and I like the look of it. I also have to be able to get it in my garage... I'll be REALLY close with 35's. With 37's, I'll be making my own entryway... :-P
