Default 35's, Gears, MPG, Transmision

I am wanting to re gear my 4 dr 3.73 auto to allow me to run 35" tires with a 4" lift. What I am wondering since it is a daily driver is...

1 What type of mpg are we looking at with 4.88(or something close to that) and 35" tires?

2 What gears do you recomend?

3 Can you still use overdrive?

4.88's will give you stock like performance but you have to know that your mpg's will never be the same especially with considerably bigger tires.

if mpg is important to you, 4.88's will keep you the most stock. with an auto, i personally would recommend 5.13's as they will give you a boost in power. nothing crazy and nothing that will drain your tank per se but definitely more performance and a little less mpg than 4.88's.

with 5.13's definitely. with 4.88's, most of the time.

the difference in 4:88 and 5:13's is about 100 rpm at about 65 mph. notice i used the word "about" twice in the previous sentence. thats because im not sure exactly what the numbers are, but thats close.......i think.

I have 5.13s and 35s. the little boost in power is well worth the extra gas gone. now the mpg.... hah. you don't wanna know.
