Default 35's on JK X Dana 30

Okay so I keep going back and fourth between 33's or 35's Is the D30 capable of handling 35' s or is that too much stress? Any input from anyone with a D30 up front and 35's would be great, any issues?

I have 35 and an X and have had no problems with it YET. It realy depends on how hard you are on the skinny pedal. Hope it helps.

I have 35's with the X axles 5.13 gears,I wheel it very much, on Sedona slickrock, and river rock type trails,it has been to Moab and done Poison Spider,Hells Revenge(all of the alternative harder lines)Golden Spike etc.I daily drive it Appx 100-120 miles every day and I have 0 problems with it.I am pretty conservative with the gas pedal while wheeling .It has almost 14,000 miles on it since December 07 when I got it!

I'm about to rock some LT315/75R16s on my "X" with the stock D30 front...so I'm in the same boat as you...I'll post feedback as soon as I get some x-terrain under the tires.

I am on the fence about keeping the D30 long term. Which of these is the better option:

Strengthen the D30

Buy a D44, then fork out more for 5:13 gears and lockers?

I dont intend to do any crazy off roading/rock crawling

Just expeditions and trail riding / weekend warrior

What do you guys think?...

Ive had mine on for over a year now, and have been known to be a bit of a lead foot. No problems at all.
