Default 35s with a leveling kit?

I've got a '08 JKU with a Teraflex leveling kit. Running 33s now, looks like i have room for 35s. Anybody running that setup? All i've heard says i need at least a 2 1/2" lift to run 35s. Also heard i needed at least a leveling kit to run 33s, but i ran them with no problem before i put the kit on. What do you guys think?

i'd say if you're going to drive over anything bigger than a speed bump you're going to at least want some flat fenders and to probably trip your pinch seam

It all depends on how much trimming you are willing to do. There's a lot of people here running 35's with a 2.5" leveling kit and some modifications. You might be able to run them with less lift but you will just end up needed to make more modifications. (or add flat fenders)

All I did was the spring swap from 14/54s to 18/59s. Cut the pinch seam, I have about 18" before I'm stuffed. So I'd imagine the leveling kit should work unless your doin some serious trails.

I have a 2.5" BB with 35's and with cut flares and pinch seam i could probably run 37's if i wanted. You should be fine if you cut fenders and pinch seam like others have said. Or just take the fenders off

Just don't disconnect or you WILL rub with stock fenders and stock bump stops.

Sent from some string and a few tin cans.

QPJeep,

I run a 2" leveling kit on my 2-Door with 35" tires and they fit just fine. I plan on getting a set of flat fenders and trimming my pinch seams do that I cna disconnect my sway bar and not have to worry about rubbing anything.

I only have rubbed twice, and that was because I was on some pretty bad frame twisters. So, unless you plan on doing some pretty hardcore wheeling a 2" leveling kit will be just fine for you.

Here is a picture of my Jeep with that setup.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I'll be more than happy to assist you.
