35s in load range C?
At 55k, my Duratracs will need to be replaced by winter. Great all-around tire, but load range D in 315/70/17 and a little bit of a rough ride. Any aggressive AT/MT 35s in load range C other than the MTR w/Kevlar?

I know you said you weren't interested in the mtrk, but I too am in Colorado and love my c rated mtrk. I run them at 25psi and they are awesome on the road in all conditions. I'm on my 2nd set and have nothing but great things to say.
Agree! In my experience, the 8 and 10 ply tires run at the proper psi for the weight of the vehicle, don't ride significantly worse than the lighter duty tires. I would rather have the stronger sidewall myself.

What you really want to pay attention to is the service description load rating at max psi.
There are load range D tires that are stiffer than some E's.
In the end, I'd depends a lot on the weight of your rig.
I run load range E, 125Q, 3640 lbs max at 65 psi, Toyo 35x12.50R17s on my lifted, Ram 1 ton crew cab diesel and love them.
I ran the same model tires on my 2 dr JK for several months and absolutely hated them. To get a compliant ride, I'd have to run them under 24 psi. At 24 or less psi, the tires started every day with flat spots until they warmed up. It sucked for a Montana winter.
My truck weighs about 2k-2.5k lbs more than my 2 dr JK did at the time.
I would never run a 125 load rated tire on a 2 dr JK again.
