35s with no lift?
Anyone running 35s w/no lift? This would be for an 07 Jeep X 2dr 23S package,16" rims/245/75/16. This jeep is strictly a "roadie".
I will be upgrading to 17" rims with 4.5" backspacing.
Thank you all.

Excellent, thanks for your reply. I was planning on the 2.5" TF BB until someone mentioned I might be able to get away with out a lift, wishful thinking.
I have also heard there are two types of Xs, wherein one does need a lift and the other does not, I believe it had to do with rims size, 16 or 17.
Any thoughts..................

Probably more to do with the width and backspace of the wheel, and of course the tire size. If you were to try a 35" tire w/o lift, I would suggest the 35/10.50 in 16 or 17, Swamper SSR, aggresive, but not horribly loud for the street. A lot of the Land Rover guys run them to prevent the rubbing and necessity of increased backspacing. Just a thought, worse case, you still need lift. I'm running 35/12.50/17 w/ the OME setup on stock wheels.
Another option is cut the front bumper, remove the plastic air dam, get the right offset rims and put on Xenon fenders. There is a guy here that runs 36 inch tires, no lift and all of that and has little to no trouble acording to his post. Look for pics in the black wheel thread. The pics show it flexed with doors off. Looks great IMO>

Q: What is the biggest size tire I can fit on my stock Jeep JK Wrangler?
A: The largest tire size that the factory recommends is a 255/75R17 (which comes standard on Rubicon models) or a 32x10.50. However, there are many Jeep JK Wrangler owners who are currently running as big as 285/70R17 or 33x10.50's with little to no rubbing issues.
