35's on stock?

I'm getting ready to order my wheels and tires "BMF M-80 stealth and Nitto TG 35x12.50 17. And it's still going to be a couple months before the wife lets me spend the money on the lift. So I was wondering if it would be okay to run the 35's without a lift, if it's just riding around town and not going off road?
