Cool 35's and TeraFlex

I installed the teraflex leveling kit on my unlimited jk and now would really like a set of 35's. I only went with the leveling kit because my left leg is amputated above the knee and its already a chore trying to get into the jeep. I won't be doing a lot of rock crawling or anything just mostly trails and some mud, so is it possible to do this or am I stuck with my 18's? Thanks for the help.

i'm assuming you want to keep your 18" wheels? you can put 35's on stock rims but you'll need spacers.

otherwise just get new wheels and tires.

You can run 35s, you'll need to cut the fenders or get new ones. Also add wheel spacers if you're keeping the stock 18" wheels. As long as you don't plan on any serious flexing you'll be good to go!

Well, the 35" tires have nothing to do with the 18" wheels. I'm guessing you mean are you stuck with the stock 32" tires. The answer would be no. Teraflex says the leveling kit will clear up to a 34" tire, but I believe you would definitely experience some rubbing with that setup at flex. A 33" tire would be no problem.

If I remember correctly, planman says you can run 35s on stock suspension with a 1" body lift, 2" extended rear bumpstops, and flat fenders. So I see no reason why that 1" body lift couldn't be replaced with the 1.5" leveling kit and still go with the 2" extended bumpstops.

Get flat fenders and you should be ok with 35s with 4.5 inch backspaced wheels and extended bump stops.

I guess I should have added in more in my 1st post, sorry for the confusion and I am really new at this jeep stuff. I am currently running 18x9 (18mm) Moto Metal 959 wheels with 285/65/18 Nitto Trail Grapplers. Now I assume the 18mm is the back spacing because I am not running spacers now and would really like to stay away from them if at all possible. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for all the help. Here is a pic of the current set up.

Now I assume the 18mm is the back spacing because
18mm is the offset. This thread will show you how to convert it to backspace. (backspace is an easier number to use. For 35's, a 4.50 BS is a good place to start)

As noted above, replacing the stock flares with flat flares will give enough wheel well room to run the 35's without more suspension lift. The aftermarket flat fenders can be pricey, or you can chop up those pretty painted sahara flares:

You could stick with the 18s without spacers if you go with a 285/75/18 which is a 35. Goodyear MTR and Toyo MTs are available. Also Nitto terra grapplers and trail grapplers in 295/70/18 would work on your 18s without spacers and they run 34.5ish.
