Default 35's with a teraflex leveling kit this guys says

I just called my local 4wd store. I told him I was thinking about running the teraflex leveling kit with 285/70R17. He told me they would look small, and that they put 35's on with the leveling kit. I have looked into this for some time now, and from what I've seen the basic protocol is 285 or 305 (33") tires. I feel like 35's would have a hard time clearing/ not rubbing, and if they did, would it not look crammed in there? I've really done my homework on this and looked at numerous posts. I have not heard of 35's with the teraflex leveling kit. the guy sounded like it was no problem, and it really threw me off. Is this guy crazy? what you think?

You have a 2-door or 4-door?

I have a 2-door rubicon. I don't want to do any trimming. I also don't want spacers because I want to keep my cost down.

Looks a little tight, picture shows it can be done...Would fall in your hands for judgement call.

Yeah, that looks a little tight. Not just that, but he said that 33's would look small like he had never heard of people doing that. I don't think the 33's look small with the leveling kit. the link below is the post I am basing this on. let me know what you think. I think this jeep looks awesome.

My call is 285s looks perfect on 2-door with level kit And that is the kit I'm going with. The shop may have been thinking about a BB...Ive seen some of those that make 285s look small.

I'm with you. He clarified that I was talking about the two inch front one inch back. If you look further down that post of the 35's you sent me earlier, someone replied to that picture saying it looked weird

You still might need some spacers with the stock rims. Or you could just shim your steering stops.

Stick with the 33's don't go with 35's!! To many extra expenses if you go that big.

2"f & 1"r is the leveling kit if you use the spacers. But either way it goes, I like 285s better on a 2-door!
