Default 35's under Fenders Help

I want to upgrade to 35's and Due to State Law i need to make sure that the shoes fit under the fenders.

Can anyone tell me if i were to get 35x12.5x17 tires and pair them with the AEV Pintlers (17x8.5 Size & 4.7" Backspacing) Would this set up stay under the fenders?

thanks!

I have 12.5's with 4.5 backspacing and mine stick out 3/4 inch past my fenders....no problems here.

x2. That would be about the only way to run them. You have to get the larger tires "out" from the Jeep to be able to turn and your suspension to move and not have the tires rubbing anything. The Bushwackers are a little pricey, but they are 2 or 3" wider than the stock ones and will cover your tires.

With 4.5BS my 33x12.50 stick out about 1/2 outside the flares. Can you run your stock wheels for the inspections to pass then run your aftermarket wheels?

exactly! and just remember just cause someone with an 8" whide wheel only sticks out 1/2" with a 12.5 tires doesn't mean the same measument hold true with a 9" or 10" wheel. The answer is close but no cigar. I would recommend either a tire with more narrow cross section or flares. Bushwacker (which are ugly IMO) or Xenon wide flares

1/2 in or not, if the popo want to pull you over, they will find a reason.

Almost every trooper I have spoken with, none were dicks, has said that they use these little thinks as cause to investigate for bigger things.

If you in a Wrangler, you have a little going for you in terms of the suspicion bar. Now, tint out those windows, lower it and put a set of them 22" dubs on there, now you’re worth pulling over.

So any ideas on what size 35 could fit under the flares? I really do not want to buy new fenders.

I have 35x12.5-17 tires on my JK and can't kep it clean for a second w/ the stock fenders. Will the bushwacker help somewhat. The tires stick out about an inch or two past the stock fenders now.
