I would be doing a 4'' TF lift with the 37s i no it would fit but since its my DD and i

i no i will be needing the driveshafts and maybe regear and some gussets but
is it going to ruin my axels or will i be fine since im not going crazy when offroading

help would be amazing since im sorta a newbie.

Are you sure this is a stock Sahara ???? I have never heard this comment about the3.8L.

Anyway, you seem convinced to go with 37's and IMO that is the type that will be happy with the 37's and still live with the nuances. I think that if you are unsure about switching 35s or 37s, then the chances for satisfaction are much less.

I would go 37's if it was not my dd.

Wonder what he was driving before. Probably not a V8.

I had a Hyundai Elantra before the Jeep and my only real complaints about the power of the 3.8L are on I-70 West of Denver which is probably one of the more interesting sections of interstate in the country.

...ton of power....?..
regardless, definitely, if stock, 3.73 at best if it has towing package

...light trail use, 37s....
i dont really see the need for anything over 5.13, though it being an automatic, ive read a little taller gearing is usually better

I went to the mall today, it held up well.

If you are just trail riding and have 37's you shouldn't even need to put it in 4 wheel drive. Any way I would sleve and gusset the front when you get the gears done. I have 35's and wheel some decent trails. (see my pics) I have had no issues with the 30.

I have 37's on my Rubicon and must say I'm extremeley pleased with both on and off-road performance. My GF and I drive it daily on the interstate at 75+ MPH and it's very well-behaved. Occasionally I will take on trails and beat on it and it's virtually unstoppable! Keep in mind I spared no expense building it, the right way which speaks volumes to driving characterisics. I would be somewhat leary of the D30 but if you bust it just throw on a 5 D44 and your'e good. The crawl ratio on the ruby tranfercase is sweet but I don't think it's a deal-breaker if you want an extremely capble, well-behaved, on and off road beast-machine. Have fun!
