Default 37s on 2 door Rubi.

Any issues with putting 37s that are specific to 2 door JKs?
I have 35s now and have read all the threads about going to 37s, but looking for feedback regarding issues that come up specific to 2 door models.

Thanks

Please read the 3 stickies at the top of this section to get your answer. You will be surprised at what you read but it is good advice.

Nothing specific to 2dr that I can think of.

Been running 37's on a 2 Dr Jk for over a year. No problems other than having to make some of the mods seen in the sticky by resharp001.

No problems here. 37s, reinforced 44s and around 3" of lift. Takes a bit of work to get there, but all is well once it's sorted.

Just prepare for the stares. It looks good but it's overkill on a 2dr. Brakes are the most underrated part you should look at. Everyone wants the "go fast" and shiny parts that you can see but it's the pieces down inside that will make you or break you.

If you're gonna spend that kind of money - go for 40's and be done with it !

Yea... huge difference in money needed for 37’s vs 40’s. You don’t need 10k or more in axles to run 37’s.

I'm stepping up to 37s (and 5.13s) next month (currently on 35s), but I've done a bunch of upgrades to get me where I am: Click image for larger version

Picture of it on 35s from before installing all the adjustable control arms.

Just be prepared to change your rear driveshaft if you're still running a stock one. It'll go real fast on a 2 door vs a 4 door. Be prepared to trim the rear wheel wells too. I had to cut a nice bit off the rear so it wouldn't cut my tires under full compression.
