Default 37's rubbing on front lower control arm

The tires are rubbing slightly on the front lower control arms at full steering wheel lock after I start to move. Does anyone else have this problem. I'm running the stock control arms still. That is next on my list of things to upgrade. I'm not sure if the aftermarket control arms are shaped differently so they don't rub or not.

The tires are Pro-comp X-terrains 325/80 R 16 (37x13.50 R 16)

I'm running them on Craggar soft 8's 16x8 with 4.5" backspacing. They were great wheels with the 33's and no lift because the tires would tuck in the fenders without rubbing on the outer flare.

After market control arms will pose more of a rubbing problem due to the fact that they are larger. What you can do is get some washers to adjust the steering stops on the knuckles.

I have the same issue with my 37's by 12.5 on 17X8'' wheels. Not much you can do except for what was mentioned above.

WOL . if would be nice if you could chime in about yours. Anyone else for that matter. I know there are a lot of you running 37's. I would like to hear what you all did to clear the tires. And how many have a problem with the lower control arms.

the problem is the 13.50 width and yes, i had this problem as well. as mentioned, your best bet for now is to add a few washers to your steer stops and that will take care of the rubbing.

i now run wheel spacers and no longer have any rubbing at a turn. i do however now have rubbing of the fenders at a full stuff but i plan on trimming them soon

So, what is your total backspacing now with the wheel spacer? And what is the width of your rim.

I'm wondering if I should be looking at a set of 10" wide wheels. I like the 8's because of the bead holding ability.

for 13.50's a 10" wheel will work pretty good but like you, i would try to find a 8"-9" wheel.
