Default 38s question

Hey guys. I have a question. Can I run 38" tires on stock gears 2010 sport with 4" lift?
Thanks for your help.

You could make it work with correct bumpstops.
Would I??? No. I hated driving my jeep with 37s and stock 4.10s. It sucks. Downshifts all the time, makes the tranny and motor run hard and hot.
Regearing is the best thing you can do for your jeep if running bigger tires.
I live in the Mountians and really dont like driving it with 5:38's and 37's. Just not enough motor.

If you have the 3.21 gears I'd say you're asking for problems. 3.73 would be better but still bad imo. Rubicon 4.10 would be as low as i'd feel comfortable going - but I'd re-gear and make sure I didnt have a dana 30 up front.

The Pentastar has the power for it if you re-gear, but not sure what year yours is.

He said it's a 2010 - no Pentastar

I have a buddy that runs 38x15.5's on his 07' with 4.10s and has not had any problems. I will add that he runs a bully dog tuner and does not off-road.

I'll just run the 35s for now. Hopefully later re-gear and get bigger tires.
Thanks for all replies.
