Default 4.10 gears Question

I see gear installs costing $600+, would it cost that much for them to install my 4.10 as well? Would it be more cost effective to put the 4.10 axle under my jeep instead of just the gear?

Every shop charges a different amount. The gear ratio doesn't depict how much they charge, you should talk to you local shop and see what they say

Ok, so it'll most likely be the same price as the better gears. Dang. I was hopin for a decrease in price as the gears got higher.

X2

I see you're not too far from Dallas. Might want to check with Collins Brothers. They're about 40 miles west of you.

I looked at Collins Brothers when I was in the market for a JK, but they were all priced 10k higher than stock with a few cheap mods.

depends on the installer, but along with the gears there's also the rebuild kits.

most prefer to just get the master kit and replace eveything regardless of mileage, some will just get minimum if milieage is low and gears use same bearings etc...

IMO it's better to get the master rebuild kit and do it all.

another place to call is Beartrax in Dallas.
