The jeep has 60k. It was in 4wd only a handful of times, until recently. The gear oil changed every 15k, but always looked new (unlike the back, that was black coming out). I also took the covers off to replace and the gears look great.My work schedule is the problem, I have a hard time getting time off and work out of Nashville.. I'm also having a friend do the install, when he gets slow, and know how that goes... I am definitely looking to get it all done before spring weather gets here...

How do the back gears look? Sounds like I should grab the d44 gears I found and then wait on your front carrier and gears. I figure if I piece meal this then will make break in easier and save money up front for other things. My guy will do the work whenever and does not care if I find used gears.....he was also shocked at the cost of new gears so I told him I may source parts ahead of time.
