4" to 3" whats needed?
If I want to go from a 4" lift to 3", what would I need to make that happen? I have adjustable uppers and lowers. And 4-6" fox 2.0s. Would I need shock extensions? Adjust arms accordingly? I rode in a jeep with a cheap 2.5" lift yesterday and it rode wayy better than mine. I don't need all the lift I have with 4" so I was curious of if it were just a simple spring change. I have Evo plush rides now and I feel they are very springy (bouncy). The smallest height change in a section of say a bridge and I feel it and it seems like I bounce slightly once or twice before the suspension catches back up to settle it down. Thoughts?
Excellent question.
It would be based on your current components.. You've hinted that you have the fox 4-6 shocks?.. There would have to be changed or swapped with someone who is looking for more height than you.. I like the idea of going slightly lower. Take notice if the coils have been altered. Are there any coil spacers..or other components which could hinder this lowering. I have a feeling that an extended pitman arm could have been added.. Maybe even shock extensions.
If possible.. a couple of images of the suspension would suit this treat and give others a visual and maybe offer a few more suggestions.

This app won't let me add pics. Shocks are fine, it's rode this way since the springs shocks have been on. About 11-12k miles. There aren't any shock extensions. I have a draglink flip with factory Pitman arm.
The caster and pinion will change a bit, but you have adj arms for that. Both axles will shift a bit, you have adj trackbars? You needed extra bumpstop for the flip to keep it off the frame, shouldn't be an issue dropping from 4" to 3", but something to keep in mind to check. The shocks, as noted above, will be more compressed, so you will want to double check that they do not over-compress and blow out. Might need taller bumpstops than what you have, assuming there is room with the new coils. Or, look at relocating the upper shock mount. (synergy has a kit, not sure who else might.)
