I am running 33's with 3.21s... Anything it get will be an improvement. I have a set of 4.10s coming and hope to get them installed by the end of the summer.

Again, best of luck. Let us know how they perform for you

I went with the 5:13 gears as I rarely dirve it on the highway and lower will suit me better. Also if I ever want to go to 37s I will already have the gears for them.

Im also curious about your impression on how much better the 6 speed drives with the lower gears. Did it just move everything down or does it feel better across the board? Im hoping it helps my highway drivability but don't expect much. I know it wll help down low off road especially if wheeling in 4 high as it will help lower me down for slow crawling. Now on the highway I hope it gives me a feeling of more torque to get out of my own way.

Any experience?

Jeff

From what little drive time I've had in her, it definately accelerates better and I do have to shift more (which I don't mind) but I seem to always be in the power band 2k-4k rpm. The gears make it feel like it was stock again (but now with 35" tires).

I went with the general consensus of this board and went with 4.88 because of the 6-speed and because I not 100% sure you can fit 5.13 in a Dana 30 (remember I have a Sahara).

Unfortunately, my Jeep will probably never see a trail, it will be a commuter car for me and I wanted something fun to drive and someting easy to customize to my liking. To me it's a 4-wheel motorcycle, a blast to drive and a hell of alot safer, esp down here in S. Florida-- Granny Capital of the World

Im using Custom Off road equipment in OKC. Great guys. I think they quoted me around 15 to 1800 total out the door. We are doing a chip, high lift and some skid plates as well.

Ill give my impression of the 5:13s when I get it back next week some time. I definatly felt it needed something done as it really sucked on the highway more than I thought it should. Wanted the low gears before our trip to Lake City in Aug...
