That helped answer it for me right there. Go with the 4.88's if you still want to be able to go on the highway with the 6-speed.

(If it were an auto - it would be the other way around. I'd send you toward 5.13's or even 5.38's.)

I would go with 5.13 just to be on the power side. Less top speed, more power, faster take-off.

Don't most guys with 35" tires go 4.88 with a stick?

Would seem that a 37" tire would command 5.13s.

It is a 5% jump 4.88 to 5.13.

It is a 5% jump to go from 35s to 37s, not to mention the extra weight.

Seems no brainier to me, on paper at least.

I would normally recommend the 4.88s but looking at your profile, the unavailability of a programmer for the '11s and the rolling hills of Kentucky I'd go for the 5.13s.

There's only a 5% rpm difference in gear sets, which makes your foot way more in control of your efficiency than the gears do.

I voted 5.13s. That is what I have with my 35s and 6 speed. LOVE IT. And I'm ready to go when the 35s wear out and I upgrade to 37s. Highway is fine IMO, but I keep it under 70 almost all the time.
