Question 4" Backspacing on 17X9

I have a set of 295/70R17 Interco SS M-16's 33.5X12" ready to put on my jeep. I ordered a set of Allied custom soft 8's 17X9 with a 4" backspace.

Are my tires going to stick out to far?? or is this going to look good?

I had a lot of trouble finding people locally who knew what i should do with the backspacing. So made a calculated decision and i am not sure it was the right one. The rims have been ordered and are in the middle of being made so there are no returns, live and learn..lol.. or maybe they will work out perfect.

Any feed back is help full, especially photo examples

Thank You

I forgot to add that I am trying to get the tires about 2" past the fender. The people that helped pick out the backspacing said: your backspacing is 5.5" and now I am finding out its 6.25".. this throws a monkey wrench into my plans

You should be OK. I run 35x12.50x17 on a 17x9 with -10mm offset which I calculated out to be about 4.1" or 4.2" of backspace. I have about 1.5" past the fenders is my guess. Your tires are a little narrower and you have a little less backspace so you'll probably end up with a similar amount.

um not sure how you did that... I just measured my 35x12.5 on 17x9 with 4.5 bsp and it is just over 3" past the fender I am guessing you will be about the same (3.2") since you are running a 12" wide tire

well that is about what you are gonna see with your set up. My tires are .5" wider than yours and you have .5" more backspacing.... end result should be the same... enjoy and post pics when you are done
