I have a 2 dr 2012 JK and I am planning on getting one of the JL stealthboxes.

I know they make a 2 door version that raises the cargo area by about 5 inches, which I'm not too crazy about.

I always have my rear seats out and my question is, would the 4 door stealthbox version work since my seats are out?

I did a few searches, but I never saw this question get answered...

I'll call JL tomorrow and see what their "company" response is...I'm also going to call a local JL Audio "Signature Shop" and see what they think...I'll post back with what I find for anyone interested...

 

I don't know why's didn't add this before but I sure shop could build anything you want. Shit you could get a TW5 on each side.

 

Called JL and the short answer is yes, definitely possible. Relatively easy, he said...you just might have to pick up some extra parts from your hardware store, especially for the 2012s since apparently the wheel well construction is a bit different than precious years.

So its not necessarily just bolt on with what the kit comes with, but still works with minor mods...didn't get too specific.

 

The stealth box hits very hard too. You will love it!

 

Yeah man...I'm excited. Im getting my wheels n tires and tint first though. I might stick with the 2 door stealthbox though in case the rear seats ever need to go back in...you never know I guess
