Default 4 Dr Steering Box in a 2 Dr?

My steering box is on its way out and I'm pretty sure I'm going to save the time and money now and send it off to be rebuilt and modded for hydro assist. Still wearing down my 33's but 35's are very near so thinking this is the best route to take rather than chewing up another box.
I have an 'ok' condition 4 door steering box from a buddy and wondering if I can run that in the interim while my box is being rebuilt..?

I was told the clock spring is the same on both 2 and 4 door models. If this is the case then will I be ok or is there something else I'm missing in the equation that could make things ugly?

And if it can be done I'm thinking I may just keep mine in and send his to be rebuilt - saves swapping back and forth. Thoughts?

Pretty sure you're right.

Can anyone tell me if this is definitely going to cause problems if I try using it for a week or 2?

Well it could also screw up the steering angle sensor, and or clock spring.

I'm not sure if those parts vary from 2dr and 4, but I do know the boxes have different ratios, which will make your wheels turn more or less.
It could also damage other steering parts.

If it was me I wouldn't do it, but that's me.
