Default 4" lift?

I have a 2010 Sahara manual 4-door and I am thinking about putting a 4" lift on it and some new tires...just wondering if you guys have any suggestions or stories?

Default tire size

what size tires are you planning on running that would be the first question to ask your self? second what type of driving will this see? Third whats your budget

personally i wanted 35s so i went with the 2.5 inch teraflex coils and am so happy....rides awesome off road and on road handling seems better than stock

If I had to do it all over again with current options I would choose the complete AEV setup with it's recent additions. They are revolutionazing the market in my opinion and changing what we are used to thinking about lifts. Read up about their offerings. At the time I was shopping it was between Clayton, Rubicon Express, and Currie.

The FAQ's would actually be a good place for you to start.

This is a good one. (pay attention to the driveshaft recommendations...)
Q: What are all the components that I will need with a 4" lift?

And this is another good one.
Q: What is Caster? How much do I need?

When you look at lifts, look past the prices and compare the components in each. Decide which you need, which you want, and which you can live without. Lots of info to be found on most lifts here with a quick search. - Also remember that you have a D30 up front. Something to keep in mind for strength and gearing.

with 4" of lift you really need a complete lift, adjustable arms, trackbars, dropdown brackets. etc..

37's are a lot of tire and while 4" of lift can get you there, you will need to do a lot of modifications to do it right. at 4", you really should think about chopping your fenders or adding a body lift to help make up the difference. even at that, you will need to do some body trimming and probably add taller bumpstops. aside from that, you really should consider getting a complete kit that comes with at least adjustable front lower control arms and rear uppers. the front will allow you to adjust your caster and the rears will allow you to set your pinion angle which is something you will need to do after getting aftermarket drive shafts and i would recommend getting them both front and rear. also, you really should consider getting a kit that address your front track bar with a relocation bracket and your drag link with a dropped pitman arm or flip kit. this really is the bare minimum i would recommend if you really want to go 37's

you are kidding right? revolutionizing the market??? don't get me wrong but you really need to take a step back from the incredibly good marketing they have and take some time to learn a thing or two about suspension before making a statment like that. trust me, their "complete kit" is far from complete even with the new additions that they copied from rancho.

Ksolomon91, i know some of the people on here mean well but i hope you can see through the hype. let us know what you're hoping to do, what your willing to spend and even what kits you're interested in and we'll help you make an educated decision on things

if you go 37s you should upgrade your drive train such as gussets, sleeves and shafts or maybe rubi front axle. you would def need to regear all these are just more expenses to consider. i have 35s and my jeep is plenty big enough and also very capable.
