4" lift on 2 Door driveline issues ?????
I'm looking hard at purchasing the Superlift 4" kit. Has anybody with 3" and 4" lift kits on 2 doors had driveline issues? If so what problems did you have and what did you have to do to correct it.
It seems like I remember 1 of the moderators on this forum with a 3" FT lift kit had a problem a few months ago with a CV joint maybe.
Thanks in advance for any experiences you can share before I pull the trigger on this kit.
Don't flame me to bad but how bad do you think it will look with 33" tires???

I'm running an RE 3.5" lift with 35's. I replaced both driveshafts with JE Reel 1350s. I do have a slight driveline vibration at an indicated 40 to 50 mph. I could feel a slight vibration at about this speed even before the lift, but it's a little worse now. It's not bad and I will probably just live with it (my TJ was about the same with 4.5" lift).
I'm also curious if others have had any similar problems.

I'm running a tera flex 3" lift and 35" x 12.5" wide tires on factory 16" rims.
I needed to add adjustable lower controll arms to get proper castor back and adjustable front track bar to get proper camber back. The bare bones lift doesn't provide for that and the jeep gets "darty" as hell without them, even with a steering shock on. Also I have 1" spacers on all 5 mounts and run clear and true on and off road. The thing about the tera flex is it stays centered on factory points and has no side mounted aditional weak junk points. I KNOW this is a nice beefy lift as I happened to hit a hole so hard I bent both my front lower controll arms. Not good but that's all that happened in a situation that woulda' busted up all sorts of crap on other lifts. ( I was having way to much fun and being a bit dumb eh? )
I was told by dealer that any lift over 3" would null the warenty on drive train etc.
I belive I could run 37" tires no problem on this lift so why go bigger? My wife can barely climb in as it is...

I'm running all original components otherwise. Automatic and 4:1 dana 44's etc.

Just for the record, an adjustable front track bar is used to center the axle side to side. It doesn't adjust camber in any way. Camber is generally not adjusted on a solid axle setup.
I am in the exact same spot you are. I have been told that you will have to replace the rear shaft definitely, but can generally get away with the stock front shaft. I know there are plenty of people running the stock shafts with the same amount of lift around my area but all of them still have low miles and no real wheeling yet either.
I have the 3" FT lift and run 35's. I bet I could run 37's with mine too. I know for sure I will be able to when those PJ tube fenders come out.
Or at least once I can afford them.
I would rather keep my center of gravity as low as possible and only increasing the lift size for the tires you want to put on.
For 33"'s I would just run a 2" BB until I decided to go bigger! They will fit with no lift until you do more than mild flexing.

I appreciate everybodys input. I'm also looking really hard at the Teraflex BB. I can't help but think the 4" Superlift is going to end up costing some really big dollars down the road when you have to replace drive shafts, regear for 35" or 37" tires, puchase adjustable upper and lower control arms to make the kit complete, better shocks etc. I might buy it anyway. thanks again.

I have a 4" lift on a 4-door, I do wheel and to avoid any future issues, I've already ordered 1310 front and 1350 rear from Tom Woods 4xshaft.
i believe they'll be here tomorrow - I can take some pictures of the install if you are interested...
