Default 4" pro comp lift with coils and shocks only.

So I am looking into getting a pro comp 4 inch lift. I saw that I can afford to get the basic 4 inch lift that comes with only coils and shocks. I've heard people have to replace their track bar among other parts when getting a 4 inch lift. Can i run this lift with the rest of my suspension stock? Or save some cash to get the one that comes with the full suspension?

What do you plan on doing with your jeep? Give us a little more insight... because 4'' is a lot of lift if you just want to put some 35's on there and do some mild wheeling, etc. When you get over 4" with a lift, to do it right, there is more to it(more suspension components needed) than just coils and shocks. That's why the kit is so cheap, because you don't have the other parts that would most likely be needed with such a high lift.

I have the same lift on my 2 door. You'll have to get an adjustable front track bar and rear driveshaft (front if you have a 4 door).

Well I wheel about 4-5 times a month. I am running 35's on a 2.5 RC with 1 inch teraflex spacers, I just wanted to upgrade. Tanks!

I will tell you right now I have the pro comp basic 4 inch lift and after putting on bumpers, winch, rock rails, and the 35 on the stock rear gate, I am looking at 3 inches of lift on a good day. I actually bought the teraflex 1 inch coil spacers to try to make it a bit more true.

I do have a JKS adjustable in the front so you'll want that and I am dropping in a front drive shaft this weekend hopefully.

Hope that helps you with your decision.

If you are gonna go that big with the lift, I say save up and do it right.... Get a FULL kit.... LCA's, springs, shocks, address the pitman arm or draglink flip, etc...bumpstops, track bars, brakeline relocation brackets(or even extended with that lift height), etc.... don't cheap out or you're gonna pay out the ass in the longrun!

Yeah, I might just wait. The reason I wanted to get it now is cause im getting a little rub in the rear when I am fully flexed. Ill invest in rear bump stops and save a few extra bucks for the real deal.

Yea, just get extended bumpstops... I have noticed that people tend to rush into getting a lift as supposed to doing their research and then are unhappy and unsatisfied and feeling the need they should have resorted to saving money, waiting a little longer, and doing it right.

Good idea. I bought mine from the dealer with the lift so I have chosen to live with it for now but once I get everything else the way I want it, I will most likely look into upgrading the lift myself... if I dont just toss in OME HD springs.

Dont do it! i have procomp 4" and its poop. for the price you could get an acual kit designed for a jeep. Pro comp got there name from monster trucks back in the 80's and they still design these kits like they are made for a truck.
