Default 40's on a 2 door

Is there anyone running 40's on a 2 door, or is this just too tall for the wheel base. I would like to go that direction when its time to replace my current tires. If anybody is running them I would like to see some photos.

I've only seen show JK's running 40's on a 2 door. Teraflex's lower 40 version, and lower 40 from Mopar.

If you keep the COG low, i think it would work well. I wouldnt want a high lift with 40's thats for sure.

One day when I get 60's. I will put something close to 40's under it

what do you think? How high would really really want to go on a 2 door?

I am not sure about 40"s on a 2dr, I just dont really see the need. I currently run 35"s and I can see the need to go up to 37-38.5"s, that extra few inches would be nice. But with the cost of 40"s and the extra lift, wear, etc I just dont see any advantage. I really havent seen many trails were 40"s would make that "difference" in completing the obstacle or not.

In the end everyones Jeep is there own, to do with as they please, but for me a set of 37"s when these 35"s are gone will be enough.

Found the thread when White Widow went to 40's on his 2dr. Lots of drama in that thread. Looks like too much work to keep the COG down. Will probably just move up to 37s when its time. Should have gone with 37s to begin with...
