4bt cummins swap

well diesel no matter what would get you the BEST MPG,and thats one of the reasons i was sold on it for awhile but then the whole cost of doing it was just.... ridiculous. and everyone is saying well if ur gonna spend 20 K on a diesel why not just sell the jeep you have now ( have u seen my jeep i dont wanna sell it!?!?! ) and just get the 3.6 ...-_-... NO....... No.....but one of the reasons for awhile i wasnt sold on the supercharger was youd only get 4-6mpg thats driving respectfully... but then everyone says they dotn buy jeeps for mpg which is true.. you dont.... but its NICE to get good mileage out of it... or atleast somewhat above 10mpg!! to Jeremy072288 id suggest looking into the supercharger its FAR cheaper than diesel ( not tryin to push u away from the diesel) id be all for it to but as i said already. the cost

Lol yes they do need to come out w/ a hybrid or diesel for the US market for jeeps but that'll happen.............never? or atleaset now for a long time but alot of people will say it will never happen. me i don't have the patience to wait.. i am curious to see what the turbo kit does for gas mileage as well but..... i can totally see why people are against the turbo option because if you use the jeep for offroading and rock climbing ... that isnt a good combination.
either way turbo or supercharger in my opinion since more air is being forced and the engine is having to work less to get the vehicle to move. so if you drive it.... w/out a lead foot you should see SOME kind of mpg gain. i was only quoting the 4-6 on Ripps site on what they said.

i dont think the mpg benefit on diesel swap is really that valid. you spend around $20k to get 30mpg? how long is it gonna take to recoup that money through milage?
that aside, i originally drooled over a hemi swap, but the 4bt swap gives you like 250lbs of torque at idle. at idle. put it in 4 lo and you have what... 1000lbs of torque? you could scale a straight up wall with that kinda power.

ha! I was just looking into this while at work today... funny timing
I read up on the bruiser kit/conversion and definitely think it would be nice to get 30 mpg on the highway with 37s and 3.73s (per the bruiser FAQs on their website). Of course, with 380 ft/lbs torque, you may want some beefier axles, driveshagfts, etc
