Default 5.13s on 2 door with 3.8?

Looking to regear my 2011 with the minivan 3.8L and an auto trans. its sitting on 35'' MTRs with 2.5'' lift and custom bumpers and tire carrier. What's the general opinion on running 5.13s or would a 4.88 setup be better. I live Kansas so obviously there will be a decent amount of highway driving to get to a wheeling spot so I'm looking to see how it performs highway as well. Also at what point is it needed to change the carrier with gears, I'm currently running the stock 3.73

Before a bunch of people jump in to tell how you should have researched this(for some reason people have a problem with those who ask questions) 5.13's are absolutely the way to go! You will not need a different carrier since you have 3.73's. It will be fine on the highway, I run 35 inch KM2's and at 70 its right at 2,200 rpm's. Just make sure you get a calibrator like superchips, ect.

Thanks, I have actually done some research into it and was originally going to go with 4.88s but I found a steal of a deal on Yukon 5.13s with the master overhaul kit and so I wanted verification plus maybe some inside info and opinions from somebody that had made the jump.

You have a 6-spd ( .84 6th gear), he has an auto ( .69 OD gear). You can't compare the two setups. 5.13 is a good choice for a 3.8 auto on 35's.

On my 2 door 5:13's auto 2010 I still leave O.D off on the highway w35" km2's. The 6.2L jku I picked up was my regear answer to that Lol.

I would go 5.13 as well with 35's and the 3.8 auto combo.
