5.13s with 32s???
Well i finally got my job at Norfolk southern so I've been driving my wifes car to save on gas since its a long commute. well after a month of driving the car i finally got to drive my jk this weekend and man it sucked. i never really noticed it before but the power sucked. so i felt the urge to aid much favorite jeep out . the thought actually crossed my mind to trade for a 12 but i ruled that out. so that brings me to my question.
How bad would 5.13s be on my wallet while still rolling on my new 32" falkens . id love to have some 35s but that's not in the budget.
i looked at the charts and it looks like it would be at the boarder of daily driving with 5.13s &32s. does anyone have experience with this setup ay or nay?
btw i have an auto trans.

What gears do you have now and is it an automatic? My guess is you have either 3.21s or 3.73s now. Try driving at highway speeds one gear less than you normally drive and that will give you a good idea if you will be able to take it while you wait for 35s.
Consensus is with 35s, use 4.88 with a manual and 5.13 with an auto. Personally I think 5.13 is too high with a Dana 30 in the front but I am not the norm here. I don't like my rpm too high.

I'm on 32s with 4.88/6sp. If you have to do lots of Hway, it sucks. Me, I don't care, practically 90% city driving. If you have an auto, I think that'd put you at about the same spot as my 4.88/6sp.
Hway, at 60mph I'm at about 2700rpm.
City, she's awesome, 45mph in 6th and you can actually go up hills when doing 50.
-Basically, if you're driving under 55 you're ok, above that, she's nice and peppy...don't know how long you can rev it like that though... ???
Mileage is about the same...except on the Hway-> better keep it below 50!
I'll get 35s when I can afford a lift at the same time.

im running 513's with 35's im getting 17 mpg on the highway anf 14 aroung town, but for power wise their great no more downshifts when climping hills, if i drive around 70 rpms are at 2300, at 55 around 2000 or under, i paid 1100$ for front and rear that was with a tru trac installed at the same time. mine is also an auto, when i did mine at the time he didnt reccomend 533, dont know why, i didnt ask and he didnt say.

5.13s and 32s certainly isn't out of bounds and would be a good fit later with 35s. If you're doing your highway driving with OD off, that's roughly the same as 5.38s, so I definitely wouldn't sweat the 5.13s being too much gear.
