Exactly! We are not talking about taking corners and running a road course. There has been no mention of "sports car" like driving that I have seen. I just like to be able to keep my Jeep at the same speed as the rest of the traffic.

I would like to think that 35's are enough for me, but in the event that I ever do bump it up to 37's then I'll be wishing I had the 5.13's. I may just go with it since I have the chance now.

Thanks Piginajeep!

on that note...... my jeep has 3.21s in it right now. if i go with 35s and 4.88s and eventually step up to 37s, couldnt i run 37s on it. kind of like people on here running 35s with 4.10s?
my main concern is, can i run 37s with 4.88s without destroying my jeep?

it'll do fine, it just wont have that highway passing gear.

What i have been told is that a 4:88 and 35's and 5:13 and 37's are ideal. Just what i've been told

If you are considering going to 37's then get the 5.13's! Anything less and you will be wishing you had!

I've got 35's and a 6spd with stock 4.10's and no complaints.

IF I had planned on regearing, say if I did not already have 4.10's, I would go with the 5.13's leaving potential for 37's................

I have an automatic with 35s and stock 3.73s and I have to manually downshift to make it up a big hill, I am going to put 4.88s in this spring!

nangulator: I think you will be happier with the 5:13's since you have the AUTO even it you stay with 35's. Everyone here with 5:13 auto has been very happy with their choice. Regearing costs quite a bit to do so you only want to do it once.

Personally I am going to live with my 4:10 when I go to 35's but when I regear I plan on replacing my front diff completely to a Dana 44 or better. I don't want to replace my gears then change out my front later. This is not my current DD so that makes it easier to live with the lack of power and shifting issues. My $0.02 is worth nothing due to the current economic situation!

Get the tires first and measure your own misery or lack thereof first.

I'm rolling around on 35s and 3.73s on a 6 speed and really don't have an issue at all. I do think 4.10s would be a better fit but as a daily driver and plans to eventually run 37s I'll hold out until then and it isn't killing me. I'll likely run with 4.56s then and my only concern is having to use a little too much brake when going down hill off road, not with anything propelling my JK forward on the streets.
