5.5" backspacing, enough?
Just got some wheels from a friend. They are 18x9 with an offset of 12mm. This gives me a backspacing of 5.5".
I am running 35's on a 4.5" aev lift. Should I encounter any rubbing?
On my last JK i had wheels with the typical 4.5" backspacing and never saw any issues with my 35's. Should I be ok with the 5.5 and the 35s?
The stock wheel has 6.25" backspacing so it still is an improvement from stock. Just want to be sure!
Thanks

I'm running 35's on 20x9's with 20mm backspacing with a 2.5" TF lift. I think it measures to like 5.75" of bs No rubbing at all on the road, but we haven't taken her off road yet to see if anything will rub when flexing. It doesnt look like it will be a problem though. I personally like the look because the wheels are tucked in the fenders but stick out just enough to make it more aggressive than stock stance.
I know that my buddy did not have any rubbing issues, but I wanted to be sure... I know the norm that people run is the 4.25 range but I got a steal on these wheels.....
I just assume they were the 4.25 since they came off a JK but realized they wernt after.... I think I will be fine, maybe at extreme flex I may see a close tolerance gap but I will see.
I agree I think the stance will be good, I don't like the wheels to stick out to far, although we are talking an inch or so diff.
