5.38 is as low as it gets. All you can do after that is add more power. Tuner/Supercharger/V8

Or grab a nice set of Mog axles

Hypertech says you can put whatever you want in for gears, it doesn't mater. All that maters is tire size. It just makes you feel better after spending all that money on a programer that it does a few things.

yep thats right. I had a meeting with hypertech last weekend and they talked about how gear ratio does NOT matter with any programmer its just an advertising point. The only thing that helps is the tire size change

maybe throw in a Ford 9" for that low of gearing. I don't know about the prorock, but a d60, you can have 5.67

but at what point would your gearing become so low that it would have to turn into a trail only Jeep? Don't know if 5.67 would do that but it can happen the lower you go. You would not be able to produce enough speed vs rpm

5.67 in a d44 would shear teeth on the first spin to traction incident. Bad bad juju. Maybe a d60, but I don't know. I wouldn't run 5.38 in a 44 for fear of the same thing, but that's my near wot mud running.

Which leaves adding power, instead of gearing lower.
