5.7 or 6.4
I think it depends on your install objectives and how many upgrades you have or are springing for.
For example, if you have a sport and base axles the larger motor will tear everything apart (like the smaller motor likely will).
An 07-10 5.7 is about 330 HP. an 11 or 12 is getting into the 370hp range.
A 6.1 is in the 380-425 range. A 6.4 is likely in the 400-475 range, depending on year.
I am trying to use my Rubi case and 6-speed. It looks like I can use a 5.7. A 6.1 or 6.4 would probably give me problems and I run dual 60's currently.
I found a 6.1 (not tranny) that came backed to a 6-speed for under 3K with 10K miles on it. I've found older 5.7's (08) in the 2500 range.
My friend just bought a 2012 5.7 with 15 miles on it for 4700 but it had the tranny/t-case and all wiring + ECU included.
