Default 5 Tire Rotation

I am about to rotate my tires for the first time and I want to do a 5 tire rotation. Anybody have a pic or description of the rotation they use? Would like to see what everybody is doing. Anything us appreciated. Thanks!

5 tire rotation makes all the tread depths different. Idk about you, but I like my tread depths to match. Simple fact. Front to back and you keep them even.

I'm just reaching 3k miles on these tires. If I do the 5 tire rotation will it harm anything because of the different tread size?

Haha. No. 3K is the perfect time to rotate in 5th tire. Some people rotate in at 1st oil change which could be 6 to 8k.

Thats silly. If you rotate them on a normal schedule, you won't even notice the tread difference after the first rotation. Plus, if one of your tires needs replacing, you won't have a tire to rotate in that has the same amount of use.

Rotate 5 tires ever 3 to 6K.

If tire blows, move to 4 tire rotation and put new spare on back.

I thought that was weird too. The only reason I am doing this is because if one tire blows out, it could be bad to swap in a brand new tire with tires that already have like 16k in them.

I rotated in on first oil change at 7k. Used the pattern shown above in the diagram. Sorry didn't copy that before the post. All went smooth and have done it with other vehicles with full size spare.

I rotate just the four leaving the spare to be replaced when I get a new set of four (when I bought my first set of new tires I rotated in the brand new spare). That way I'm only buying four new tires and not five, granted you get a little further before the tires need to be replaced and if not protected you run the risk of the spare rotting but just as everyone has a different way they do the rotations I also have mine.
