Most conservative advice I have come across is:
1. For 1st 15 minutes run surface street speeds
2. Let rest for at least an hour
3. Repeat 1 & 2
4. For balance of 500 miles:
4a. No towing
4b. No aggressive acceleration
4c. Avoid highway speeds
5. After 500 miles:
5a. Remove diff covers (Drain fluid)
5b. Inspect for proper wear pattern - I have the installer do it
5c. Re install covers, refill, and enjoy

Let me know what you think of them, mine will be here today, and going on next week. I found a place in Ogden that will do them both for $600. Problem is, I will have to drive at highway speed right after they go on.

Who is doing yours?

I had 4 wheel parts do mine last week. They gave me a check list similar to above ... Also ... I have to bring my JK into the shop at 500 miles so they can remove covers, drain fluid and make sure everything looks good.

Step 5 is not nessacary if they are installed properly. a reputable shop that knows jeeps and knows how to properly install gears will do it right. You dont have to drain the fluid 500 miles after you buy a new one!!!!! I guess most people do that just to be on the safe side!!!!

YOUR GONNA LOVE THE 5.38s
