Default 5th Wheel

What's up guys -- I've seen several different opinions on brands/bumpers to replace the stock ones with...I'm about to have 37's on mine and wanted to know if there is an option out there without actually replacing the whole rear bumper? I don't want anything that is going to hurt the hinges, etc, and don't want something too cheap. Ideas?

The OR-Fab Tire Carrier is exactly what you're looking for. MANY Jeepers on here have it and swear by it. They have versions with and without the two gerry cans, and it will support a 37" tire. I'm getting one pretty soon since my 35" on my stock carrier is giving out. You should call Dave at Northridge 4x4, he's got great prices on these and seems to be who a lot of people buy from: (360) 340-0282

Pics borrowed from Dog Doc, thanks! Here's a big thread win many satisfied owners: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...ab+rear+bumper

It also has provisions to mount a CB Antenna and a High Lift Jack.

I've got one going on this week. It gives me options for bumpers which is what I like since most bumper/tire carriers are offered in 'just' the bumper

How does the Or-Fab mount to the body?

funny -- i meant a closeup as to how it latched vs the stock door-handle -- the instructions made it look like the door handle was de-assembled somehow.

It mounts to the body though some very heavy duty brackets that go inside the rear light wells, it's definitely tough and sturdy enough for nearly anything you can throw at it.

Here's a quick video on it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zZUiZt8MgM It's simply a tension mount that clamps quite hard onto the new retention clasp that goes on the body. The square block is mounted to the body and the silver clamp attaches to it.

You can find an install thread here for more details and pics as well (copy/paste remove space): jk owners.com/forum/showthread.php?p=415403
