Default 6" suspension lifts

Looking to go to a 6" lift. Besides the drive shafts which I already have what other upgrades would I need? Its a 4" lift thats on it right now with a 1" body lift. Just ordered 40's and gears. Any suggests are dually appreciated.

I am not being a smart ass or being mean.
You should cancel your order, if you are asking this question you are no where ready to rock 40's. By looking at your profile you are just asking for problems.

If you are truely serious about running 40's
get a new front axle.
Hydraulic assist steering
Some wheels with a 3" bs.
Drag link flip
Rear allow shafts and expect to bend them at the flange.

you can fit 40s on 3.5" lift.. 6 " is really big. if you just like a big rig thats cool.. i would look into the rock krawler 5.5" long arm kit. but 40s on a front dana 30...most likely will be a issue if you use it... at the very least do the c -gussets , sleeves / truss ... rcv shafts.. .i would atleast try and find a rubi dana 44 . but even that could be a problem with 40s. good luck with your build sounds like it is gonna be nice .. just take your time a research lift kits.. they are not all the same

As mentioned above, new axles prefered Dana 60's front and rear.44's will work but pushing it,hyd assist a must, think about your stopping power as well

I have the RK 5.5 Mid Arm on my rig with 38x15.5's and I am pushing it on the stock 44's. I am keeping my stock flares but if you were to go flat flares you could EASILY clear 40's with this set up. Mine is a pavement pounder (No rock crawling). My off-roading consists of Desert and snow driving in the winter mountains and I am honestly a little paranoid of my stock 44's. Did the Artec Truss and c gussets just for a little insurance. Keep in mind though my Wheels/Tires weigh an ungodly 150-160 Lbs a piece (Weighed on my bathroom scale so not sure) so that doesn't help, but my 38's are true 38's. My rig is definitely on the big side. Mine is a 13 and I did the 5:13 gears and love them. I would have gone 5:38s if the pinion wasn't so small.Click image for larger version

Let me clarify....my profile isnt up to date. I have 60s for front and rear completely rigged out with 5.38 gears. I am going with 4" long arm with 2" spacers, crusher flares and new drive shafts. All this sitting in garage waiting for the pther needs once I find out what else I need. Pricy....yes very but its what Im looking to do. Not in a hurry to build itbut rather do it right. Its a project my father and I staryed before he passed away a few months ago so price isnt the issue but more of a tribute to him.
