62TE tranny swap for 3.8L possible?
I am hoping one of you more knowledgeable people here can answer this question for me...
Can (or has) a 62TE tranny out of one that caravans been swapped into the wrangler? If it is is the same motor and bolt pattern for tranny I am shocked someone has not done it already. Would there be alot of extra work to make it happen i.e adapter plates, tranny mounts, ecm, etc? When gear swaps are $2k, I would think you can find a used tranny and swap out that would not be much more than that.
62TE ratios are as follows (from 2010 Chrysler Grand Caravan spec sheet)
1st - 4.127
2nd - 2.842
3rd - 2.283
4th - upshift 1.452
- WOT kickdown 1.570
5th - 1.0
6th - 0.690
