Default 6spd shifter extension

Has anyone put an extension on their 6 spd stick? I've looked all over this forum for something similar but haven't seen anything yet. I'm looking to do like an old rat rod high shifter type of thing. Anyone try this yet?

I already hit my passenger's leg when I shift to reverse. I can't imagine why you would want an even longer stick, but whatever.

Sticks already long enough. Would not want it any longer.

Can't even put 2 drinks in the front cupholder without hitting them with the stick or your passengers leg. It's to long already

If you're handy with a welder and an acetylene torch, it wouldn't be too hard to do. The stick comes off with a T45 I think, after you get the inner and outer boots off.

I do not want to keep just a straight stick. I know that wouldn't work. I have access to welders, torches & lots of round bar stock. I will come up with something & post. Just figured some one crafty would have tried it already. Sometimes you gotta be a lil more open minded. Maybe something similar to this but not purple

Ok help me out. Do you want to extend yours or just bend it up a bit? I could see bending it, because having drinks and going into reverse is a little difficult with the factory stick. But extending it....uhhh....is this for looks/feel only?

Wait....what are we talking about again? This is beginning to sound a little weird! LOL
