Default 75 pounds or less (Wench)

I was entertaining myself with the the idea of a wench. However due to shipping restraints wenches with a shipped weight of 75 pounds or less are all I am interested in. What are some quality products that you all would reccomend and why?

Most wenches I know weigh more than 75 pounds. Might need to look at a gymnast or maybe a jockey?

seriously though, to get under 75 lbs you might need to go with something that comes will synthetic line and an aluminum fairlead. Maybe one of the Superwinches or Ramseys

Edit: ok, I just checked Superwinch and the epi9.0 w/ synth and aluminum hawse has a shipping weight of 82 lbs, so Im not sure what you are gonna find.

Curious too.

Your budget is also going to help dictate what you can get. To limit weight, like bly mentioned, going to a synth line with a hawse fairlead is your best bet but you're going to pay a significant difference in price.

However, you should be able to take delivery of one, regardless of the weight.

UPS had no trouble with mine.

I am in the Military and I have an APO address. I live over seas, and my post office will only handle packages 75 pounds or less and no larger ten 120 inches in legnth. UPS is no good cause then I have to deal with tax exempt forms, brokers and all sorts of stuff that I rather not deal with. I was amazed when tire rack was able to get my 5 BFG KM2's to me. (they shipped them one at a time)

You will be suprised at the stuff I do to get good parts here. Wait to you hear my plan about shippping a stubby front bumper. that I am going to order next month.

Have the winch shipped separate then the line and fairlead

Stubby bumper? Hmm...who are you getting it from?

Maybe you can have the winch shipped with the bumper (since you already have some sort of master plan to get that shipped )...

I was thinking the same thing. That is what I was going to do with my bumper remove all the excess packaging material and ship the skid plate seperate, so maybe there is a bunch of excess foam in these boxes?

Well, maybe you could get somebody to ship the winch seperately from the line, hawse/fairlead and hook-up cable. That should get you close to the 75lbs. Superwinch lists the actual winch(epi9.0) weight at 70. Im assuming thats with the synth line on it. I bet most winches without the line weigh around 70lbs. I bet you could talk David at northrigde into doing something like that for you.
