Default 8179 hub centric

Anyone actually have any issues with non-Hubcentric Procomp wheels?

A couple sources of information say "you may experience some vibration " when putting Lug centric wheels on a Hub centric vehicle.

Lots of people here have various Procomp wheels .

Is anyone experiencing issues like this?

I am willing to bet 90% of us have non hub centric wheels and have no problems. There are very few hubcentric aftermarket wheels out there.

You can buy hub centric rings. Google it. This adapts non hub centric wheels to hub centric wheels.

my wheels are lug centric. Most aftermarket ones are, as stated above. I have had no issues, but I saw hellbound did I think. Poor guy has had a lot of problems with his Jeep. Maybe you should ask him?

As stated above I did have issues with the lug centric. Hub centric rings made the ride much better.

Basically, more stress is applied to the wheel studs. If running larger tires, you risk snapping the wheel lugs off. If you are running wheel spacers, it applies that much more stress, as you will not be able to make use of hub centric spacers.

That makes sense, but has anybody heard of this actually happening? Of all of the people on this forum running aftermarket wheels, very few are hub centric and I'm only aware of 1 issue. Maybe a lot of people are using the hub centric rings and we're not aware of it? Might be worth starting a poll?

I know of people on here snapping lugs using wheel spacers. And it really comes down to use over an extended period. I am not sure if anybody here has actually put 50k miles or so on a lifted JK. I don't think an issue of non-hub centric wheels would show up in the short term, minus some extra vibes.
