Default 9k or 10k???

Hopefully I'll be buying a winch w/in the next week for my '12 JKU but was wondering if 9k would be sufficient enough or if I'd be better off going w/ a 10k? Right now I'm running stock front/rear bumpers and I'll be ordering Ace Rock Sliders in the next couple days. Looking at either an Engo or Superwinch....

I would think either is fine. I run an 8k and have never had an issue. I'm sure it depends on what your using it for as well (deep mud etc). You can also always run a snatch block as well to double your pulling power.

No problem with either winch unless you are planning to wheel in deep mud. Then go with the 10k. Engo and Superwinch are good choices. Also check out the Recon 10,500 online. It comes with synthetic line, completely waterproof with wireless remote. Great looking and working winch for approximately $475.00. I believe the winch only weighs about 65lbs also.

Synthetic so much safer and lighter.

Yea I just compared the two in weight, synthetic/winch is only 60 lbs versus 85 lbs.

I went with a 9500 lb Superwinch, and it pulls my Jku great
