Hi,
Ijust found out about this fantastic website TODAY!!!!
I have a problem with my 2007 JeepWrangler X"GRIZZLY EDITION" This "GRIZZLY EDITION" is a customizied package that the selling dealer had installed, which includes a 4 inch lift kit with all the goodies.I have owned Jeeps for about 40 years and am a Jepp lover from the word go, BUT, I am scared to death of this new Jeep. If I go in a curve at about 20 - 30 MPHs the ESP comes on and the Jeep is all over the road. I have NO CONTROL OF THE BRAKES or THE ACCELERATOR and have actually been THROWN off the side of the road. I ahve taken this to the dealer where I purchased this and they said "SORRY" we can't fix it so just turn the ESP off....OK, I did and the damn thing still does it. I took it to another dealer and they said "sorry" there is no fix unless you want to do away with the lift kit. BULL CRAP, that's why I bought this paticular Jeep and paid thousands of dollars extra...FOR THE LIFT KIT and how it looks!!!!If I had not wanted this "LOOK" I could have bought a lots cheaper model. Is there anyone out there that has this same problem and is this correct??? Is doing away with my lift kit the only "fix" for this??? This is really dangerous, my husband thought I was kidding about how bad it was until we took a trip to the mountains and he almost hit another vehicle head on when this ESP did it's thing!!! What do I do now?? I get zero help from the selling dealer!!!

first off, who makes the lift?

do you have adjustable control arms,

is your steering wheel recentered?

My dealer is begging me to let them reflash mine to adjust the ESP to compensate for my lift. I think it's working fine so I won't let them. Others on this site have discussed similar problems to yours, have you used the search function yet?

BTW welcome to the forum. Hope you get things figured out.

My question is this....how would you lift be affecting you accelerator?? I can understand the steering and brake problem...your lift, especially 6inches obviously has affected numerous things, including the brakes, brake line, ect. As far as the accelerator goes, that seems completely off the mark for issues relating to the lift, but I can be wrong, I am definitely not as seasoned as many of the people in this forum. One thing I do know is that your problem will be rectified on this forum, the people are amazing and I would challenge any other forum in regards to us having some of the most intelligent participants around.

good luck and please keep us posted....and WHERE ARE THE PICS!
