Default ABS / ESC Issue

HI all. My baby isn't feeling well this morning. 2014 JK Sport. 2.5" lift.

I do most of the work on her myself with the assistance and guidance of others. Very rarely does she see visit a professional shop.

Most recently I have replaced the steering stabilizer and installed quick-disconnect front swaybar endlinks.

I am unsure if the two main symptoms are related.

Recently (within the past week, since replacing the endlinks) she has developed a slight wobble in the steering between 40 and 60mh. I wouldn't call it "death wobble", but an annoyance for sure.

Yesterday, my ABS and ESC lights have come on.

I can feel the ESC kicking in from time to time wile turning and I tell ya, that wakes you right up!

My ODBII scanner is not showing any codes.

Looking for any guidance before I throw in the towel and take her to a real doctor.

sounds like you need an alignment, being out of alignment will cause ESC issues, and can cause it to engage when turning the wheel.

How straight is the steering wheel? Even if it 'looks' straight, it can be just that little bit off to where the computer can detect it. So, it thinks you are already turning, then you add in more speed and more turn, and it helpfully adds some braking...

For the shimmy, probably the most common speed-related cause is tire balance. Get them rotated and balanced and see what happens.

Why car has ticking noise in engine when idle, just visit AutoGuysLand for more info. Looking for any guidance before I throw in the towel and take her to a real doctor.
the ESC system depends on the ABS module to function properly. if there is a problem with the ABS module ESC will not function either. It could be the system engaged.

Keep in mind that you won’t get abs codes with an OBD reader unless it’s able to read abs codes.

If you’re getting the lights, there’s codes with them. Get a new reader, they’re like $40 at a parts store.
